The four German universities with a study focus on ship and maritime technology in their engineering programs - Technische Universität Berlin

are walking new paths for optimally teaching their students the necessary technical and methodological knowledge. | For this purpose, a Network of Ship and Maritime Technology is created in order to combine the differentiated competencies of the specific university locations in research and teaching, but also to give access to them independent of the individual location with the help of modern information and communication technologies and efficient e-learning methods. In designing and producing e-learning applications as well as new forms of teaching, learning and cooperation in education, the university teachers in the field of engineering involved in the project will be guided and supported by the - Research Group Instruction and Interactive Media (IIM) of the University of Gießen.
| Main fields of activity: - Development of cooperation forms between different locations
- Development of a web-based cooperation platform and a Learning Management System
- Development of methods to integrate complex analytical programs into Learning Management Systems
- Development of teaching and learning modules
- Development of programs for further and continuing education
